SO in the three years we’ve been thinking about it, it took until last weekend for Melissa and I to realize that Jawbreaker HAS A SONG CALLED SISTER, ABOUT LIVING TOO FAR AWAY AND NOT SEEING EACH OTHER ENOUGH, and that our matching punk rock sister tattoos are obviously going to be inspired by that.

Well, today was awesome.
Can’t believe some bitch bought these out from right under me.
Third demo: Jawbreaker’s “Accident Prone” arranged for cello. Comments welcome.
This is perfect.
SURVIVAL NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE
On repeat all of 2012.
“I wanna remind you that tomorrow is the first of the month, and it is customary to say “Rabbit Rabbit” before you say anything else. So, think about that. Write yourself a note.”
This felt worth saying.
Jawbreaker - Ache.
I never felt like this before. I say that every hour.
Back in 2007/2008 I was in the process of moving from my childhood home to just down the street. It was a weird experience. I spent a lot of time falling asleep and waking up with a DVD menu on the TV screen. In the process of selling a house you have to vacate the premises when a realtor brings by potential buyers. Most of the time I would drive my car about 200 feet down the street and just wait there in the cold until people left. One day I listened to this song on repeat for an hour until I could go back inside.
The song gives me a feeling of winter, and the reminder that sometimes things change in your life and you have no control over it. Or you do have control, but you have to let it change anyway. I was moving out of where I lived all of my life(though I still live with my parents because I am a failure4lyfe), I was going to transition from a community college to a four year college, and winter was changing into spring. Jawbreaker is always in the winter to me.
These days, the people I love are spread so far apart.

Jawbreaker - Sluttering (May 4th)
If you hear this song 100 times it still won’t be enough!

Chesterfield King - Northstar (Jawbreaker cover)
I forgot this existed but it doesn’t really matter because I remembered and it’s good either way and because deep down, this is everyone’s favorite Jawbreaker song.
